FAQs

What kinds of clients do you serve?

We work with a variety of different families throughout Colorado. We have clients that are single, married, that have minor children, adult children, and everything in between. We serve blended families and families with special needs. Several of our clients own their own businesses, whether it be side-hustles or multi-million dollar companies. Regardless of our client’s background and life-story, we develop sound, practical Estate Planning strategies that make for a personalized estate plan.

Does a Will help me bypass probate?

This is a common question that we receive from prospective clients. No – a Will does not help you bypass probate. Wills and probate go hand-in-hand, in that a Will is a set of instructions for probate itself. We help our clients create strategies to mitigate some of the challenges of probate, and offer a wide-variety of solutions including Trusts and Beneficiary Deeds.

I want a Trust - do I still need a Will?

Yes! Wills are a foundational part of Estate Planning. Even if you have a Trust, you’ll want a Will for things like naming a Personal Representative and creating a “pour-over” to your Trust.

What are some of the benefits of a Trust?

Trusts bypass probate, are private, can help mitigate taxes, offer different levels of asset protection, and are oftentimes much less expensive (and significantly quicker) than going through probate.

Are you available evenings and weekends?

Yes! We know that for some of our clients, evenings and weekends are more convenient for them. We offer weekend availability and evening hours throughout the week.

Is there a charge for a consultation?

Nope – no charge.. Our 30 minute consultations are completely complimentary. We will take time to learn about you, share a bit about our practice, and answer any questions that you might have.

How do I schedule a consultation with your firm?

Here’s our calendar with availability. Select either a phone call or a zoom call – whichever you prefer.

Do you make home visits for meetings?

Yes! Once you sign on as a client, you’ll share your preference of how you would like to work together. A lot of clients prefer to have us come to them. And when it’s time to sign your plan, we can have a mobile notary come out to you then as well.

Do you offer flat fees?

Yes! Our flat fee model offers transparency and comfort to our clients. You won’t have to worry that you’ll receive a bill every time you call us or send an email throughout your engagement.
